David, sometimes known as Dan in the Oliveto household, is Julia’s longtime partner. He is one of the consiglieres to the Groom’s Party. In this capacity, he serves as the final arbiter of Olivetos’ jokes and references, including settling disputes among Hordlings about whether a joke is in fact funny, a reference too obscure, and whether the bit has gone too far.
